Sergeant Major Jonathan S. Sidhu

Sergeant Major Jonathan S. Sidhu is a native of Euclid, Ohio. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2005 and completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon completion in April 2005, Sergeant Major Sidhu attended the School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, North Carolina and earned the MOS of 0341 Mortarman.

Sergeant Major Sidhu's service in the Operating Forces includes duties as Mortar Assistant Gunner, Mortar Gunner, Forward Observer, Fire Direction Center, and Medium Machine Gunner with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines from August 2005 to May 2008; 60mm Mortar Section Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Commander, and Company First Sergeant with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines from June 2012 to October 2015; Company
Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant with H&S Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines from June 2018 to February 2020; Company First Sergeant with Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines from February 2020 to March 2022; Company First Sergeant with Air Support Company, Air Control Company A, and Tactical Data Systems Company Marine Air Support Squadron 3 from March 2022 to March 2023; and Command Senior Enlisted Leader VMFAT-502 April 2023 to Present.

Marine Air Ground Task Force-Black Sea Rotational Force 14.1 from November 2014 to May 2015 with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines; Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command 19.2 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve from April 2019 to October 2019 and Marine Rotational Force-Darwin 21.2 from April 2021 to October 2021 with 1st Battalion, 7th Marines.

Sergeant Major Sidhu has earned Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Kent State University. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars in lieu of 4th award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars in lieu of 3rd award, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon with one gold star in lieu of 2nd award, and the Basic Parachutist Badge.
