Major Bejarano graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. After commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, he attended The Basic School in July 2001.  Second Lieutenant Bejarano reported to flight school and was designated a Naval Aviator in January 2004.  In June 2004, First Lieutenant Bejarano completed CH-46E Sea Knight initial training at HMM(T)-164 and was assigned to the “Evil Eyes” of HMM-163 located aboard MCAS Miramar.

First Lieutenant Bejarano’ first assignment as an “Evil Eye” was as the Legal Officer.  In July 2005, he deployed with the 13th MEU and served in OIF 6.1.  Upon his return, Captain Bejarano assumed duties as the Assistant Logistics Officer and deployed again with the 13th MEU in February 2007 to OIF 7.2.  Following his second deployment, Captain Bejarano volunteered for a Forward Air Controller tour with 1st Battalion, 1st Marines and attended Tactical Air Control Party in the fall of 2008.  As part of 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, he departed for his third 13th MEU deployment in January 2009.

In September 2009, Captain Bejarano reported to Advance Infantry Training Battalion aboard Camp Geiger in MCAS New River for duties as the Air Officer and Assistant Operations Officer.  In 2010, he was selected for MV-22 transition training and reported to MAG-26 to serve as the Future Operations Officer while awaiting to attend VMMT-204 in March of 2011.  Upon completing transition training from VMMT-204 in July 2011, Captain Bejarano reported to VMM-266.  Capt Bejarano served as the Administration Officer for VMM-266 (REIN) for a 26th MEU deployment from March thru November 2013.  On the return from deployment, he became the Operations Officer for VMM-266 (REIN) and stayed as the Operations Officer until July of 2014.

In July 2014, Major Bejarano reported to VMMT-204.  He served as the Director of Safety and Standardization until February 2015 and then assumed the role of Aviation Maintenance Officer until his departure in June of 2016.

In July of 2016, Major Bejarano checked into VMM-163 (REIN) and served as the Logistics Officer for an 11th MEU deployment from October 2016 to May 2017.  Upon return from deployment, he assumed duties as the Operations Officer until December 2017.

Maj Bejarano’ personal awards include the Air Medal (w/Strike/Flight Numeral 4), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (w/ Two Gold Stars).
