U.S. Marine Corps Col. Timothy S. Brady Jr, commanding officer, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, gives remarks during the redesignation ceremony of 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, June 23, 2022. 1/3 redesignated to the 3rd Littoral Combat Team where it will be organized, trained, and equipped to support sea control and sea denial operations within actively contested maritime spaces as part of a modernized force, integrated with the Navy and other joint force elements. The redesignation demonstrates significant progress towards the FD2030 initiative.
