Sergeant Major, Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367
Sergeant Major John E. Bejarano

Sergeant Major Bejarano completed recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, SC in July 2003 and was assigned to Camp Geiger, NC for Marine Combat Training followed by Motor Vehicle Operator training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri obtaining (3531) MOS. 
 
In October 17, 2003, Sergeant Major Bejarano received orders to 1st Battalion, 10th Marines, Camp Lejeune and was assigned as Motor Transport Dispatcher and subsequently meritoriously promoted twice to Lance Corporal and Corporal. 
 
In November 2004, Sergeant Major Bejarano was transferred to Regimental Combat Team 2 (RCT2), 2d Marine Regiment, Camp Lejeune where he served as Assistant Motor Transport Chief and Platoon Sergeant and completed a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. On October 2005 Sergeant Major Bejarano was promoted to Sergeant.  Upon completion of TAD assignment, Sergeant Bejarano returned to 1st Battalion, 10th Marines. 
 
In May 2007, Sergeant Major Bejarano was augmented to Charlie Battery, 10th Marines where he served as Motor Transport Chief and Squad Leader. Sergeant Major Bejarano deployed in October 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon his return from deployment on April 2008, Sergeant Major Bejarano received orders to School of Infantry (East), Marine Combat Training Battalion, Camp Geiger, NC. In June 2008, Sergeant Major Bejarano reported to India Company, where he served as Combat Instructor. 
 
In March 2010, Sergeant Major Bejarano was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and was assigned as Chief Combat Instructor for India Company, Marine Combat Training Battalion. In July 2011, Sergeant Major Bejarano was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
 
In January 2012, Sergeant Major Bejarano completed his Combat Instructor duites and received orders to Transportation Support Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Camp Lejeune where he served as Company Gunnery Sergeant, Operations Chief, and Motor Transportation Chief. During his tenure, Sergeant Major Bejarano deployed in July 2012 to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
 
On June 2014, Sergeant Major Bejarano received orders, to Marine Air Control Group 18, Okinawa, Japan where he served as Motor Transport Operations Chief. On September 2015, Sergeant Major Bejarano was promoted to First Sergeant and assigned to 3d Transportation Support Battalion, CLR 3, where he served as Company First Sergeant for Landing Support Company and Support Company. 
 
In June 2017, Sergeant Major Bejarano received orders to 1st Marine Raider Support Battalion, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Pendleton where he served as Headquarters Company First Sergeant. On November 2019, Sergeant Major Bejarano was promoted to his current rank and received orders to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268, Marine Corps Base Hawaii.  Sergeant Major Bejarano was subsequently transferred to 3d Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment as part of Force Design 2030. 
 
In June 2022, Sergeant Major Bejarano received orders to 3d Littoral Logistics Battalion, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment. On June 2023, Sergeant Major Bejarano received orders to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367, Marine Aircraft Group 39, Camp Pendleton, CA. 
 
Sergeant Major Bejarano's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with gold star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 3 gold stars in lieu of 4th award and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 2 gold stars in lieu of 3rd award with "V" device and Combat Action Ribbon with 1 gold star.
