Lieutenant Colonel Crivello earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). He entered the Marine Corps in October 1999 and was commissioned through the Officer Candidates Course in December of 1999.  First Lieutenant Crivello

was designated a Naval Aviator in March of 2002.  Following flight school, he reported to HMM(T)-164 for initial training in the CH-46E Sea Knight. In September of 2002, First Lieutenant Crivello was assigned to the "White Knights" of HMM-165, MAG-16, MCAS Miramar, where he served as the ALSS/Ordnance Division Officer, Schedule Writer, Flight Officer, Director of Safety and Standardization and Weapons and Tactics Instructor/Pilot Training Officer.  While assigned to HMM-165, Captain Crivello deployed three times in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM as a part of Amphibious Task Force West and the 15th MEU.  He also participated in Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief operations in Indonesia in support of OPERATION UNIFIED ASSISTANCE.

In June of 2007, Captain Crivello reported to MCRD San Diego, where he served with Third Recruit Training Battalion.  Captain Crivello returned to HMM(T)-164 in February of 2008, where he served as the Logistics Officer and Director of Safety and Standardization.  As an instructor pilot, Captain Crivello was the senior CH-46E NATOPS Evaluator for the entire Marine Corps CH-46E community. In April of 2010, Major Crivello once again reported to HMM-165 where he served as the Director of Safety and Standardization, Assistant Operations Officer and Operations Officer for the squadron's work-ups and subsequent deployment with the 15th MEU.  During this deployment, Major Crivello participated in Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief operations in Pakistan.

Major Crivello completed MV-22B transition training at VMMT-204 in August of 2011 and served as the Operations Officer for VMM-165 until July 2013. Following VMM-165, Major Crivello reported to 1st Marine Division for duty as the Deputy Air Officer.  While there, he participated in Exercises Steel Knight and Desert Scimitar.

In January 2015, Major Crivello joined the World Famous "Purple Foxes" of VMM-364 and served as Executive Officer until August of 2016 when he assumed his current duties as the 3d MAW Transition Officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Crivello's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (w/ Strike/Flight Numeral 5), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (w/ two Gold Stars) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (w/ Gold Star).
