Sgt. Matthew Guinn, then a corporal, a Marine with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), earned the 3rd MAW commanding general’s recognition aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Dec. 4. The commanding general promoted Guinn as a surprise for his actions on post deployment leave, when he volunteered to help pick up tornado debris in Wayne, Nebraska.
