CORONADO, Calif. - Half of the Marines in the Marine Corps Instructor of Water Survival course act as rescuers and run into the ocean to retrieve simulated victims at a beach in Coronado, California, June 19. The rest of the MCIWS students pretend to be victims and wait for their rescue 500 meters away.
