On September 27, 2006 Marines of the 3D Marine Aircraft Wing (3D MAW) run to a CH-53E of Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 361 (HMH-361) after the succesful external lift of a downed UH-60 that hit a land mine near Al Asad, Iraq. MH-361 is currently deployed with First Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (Multi National Forces- West) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction. 060927-M-3988H-046 (U.S Marine Corps photo by Corporal Richard A Hilario)
