Lance Cpl. Pranil K. Shankar uses a Bobcat to dump dry dirt throughout a mud-filled bog behind the Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 headquarters building Feb. 17. Shankar and the four other Marines in the MALS-16 logistics section are responsible for the embarkation of all squadron gear and personnel, squadron building maintenance and a variety of other jobs that spring up. Shankar is a logistics/embarkation and combat service support specialist with MALS-16, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
