Various Marine Corps helicopters including the CH-46 Sea Nights and CH-53E Super Stallions and a few Army UH-60 Blackhawks sit on the taxiway on a brisk December morning at Al Asad, Iraq. The once abandonded Iraqi air base is now the temporary home for more than 7,000 Marines, Sailors and Soldiers as air and ground operations continue in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
