Marines and Sailors from 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing are executing Exercise Summer Fury 2018 July 23 to Aug. 4, at MCAS Miramar, MCAS Camp Pendleton, California, MCAS Yuma, Arizona, Naval Air Facility El Centro, California, and San Clemente Island, California. 
 
Summer Fury is designed to increase the functionality and effectiveness of 3rd MAW while also enhancing Marine Air-Ground Task Force and naval integration with participating I Marine Expeditionary Force and naval units. 
 
Exercises such as Summer Fury provide realistic, relevant training necessary for 3rd MAW to ensure the Marine Corps’ largest aircraft wing remains combat-ready, interoperable, deployable on short notice, and lethal when called into action.
