U.S. Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron (VMFAT) 101, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 232 and Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3rd MAW) conduct a missile shooting demonstration and aerial refueling in support of Exercise Winter Fury 21, off the coast of Southern California, Feb. 5, 2021. During Winter Fury, 3rd MAW will conduct long range strikes, deploy and support infantry Marines, assist in the transport of artillery assets, and provide logistical support to Marines on the ground. Mission Statement Under 3rd MAW
The mission of Marine Air Control Group 38 (MACG 38) is to coordinate all aspects of air command and control and air defense within the Marine Aircraft Wing and to provide the command and staff functions for the MACG Commander when deployed as part of the Aviation Combat Element (ACE) of the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).

The mission of the 3D Marine Aircraft Wing Band is to be a combat effective and musically excellent organization with emphasis on teamwork and development in order to uphold our warrior legacy and propel forward the reputation of Marine music.
