The U.S. Air Force Reserve deployed approximately 180 Airmen and 12 F-16C aircraft from Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, to Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, for approximately four months as part of a scheduled deployment.

A total of approximately 350 Airmen, including an additional 170 from Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., and 12 F-16Cs, activated as the 457th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, will work alongside Republic of Korea and U.S. Alliance partners to maintain peace and stability to the region.

"This deployment reaffirms our commitment in providing the right combat air power and capabilities to protect the Republic of Korea," said Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Remington, 7th Air Force commander.
