Lance Cpl. Luke Bringgold, a CH-53E Super Stallion airframe mechanic with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 462, wipes down a piece of Super Stallion airframe after making a repair aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., July 10. Airframe mechanics like Bringgold go to school for six months or more before going to the Fleet Marine Force to actually maintain aircraft.
