Sergeant Major Gabrielson began his Marine Corps career on June 24, 2000, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. After graduating recruit training in September 2000, he completed Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina, and Field Wireman Training at 29 Palms, California, by December 2000. In January 2001, Private First Class Gabrielson reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, New River Air Station, Jacksonville, North Carolina, as a Field Wireman.
He deployed with Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 to Spain for Exercise Dynamic Mix in May 2002 and to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom in March 2003. Promoted to Corporal, he served as a company radio operator with Marine Corps Security Force Battalion, Norfolk, Virginia, in January 2004, and as a Sergeant with Marine Corps Security Force Company Europe in July 2005, supporting joint training in Germany.
In March 2007, he became Wire Supervisor for 1st Battalion, 9th Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, deploying with Task Force 1/9 to Iraq in April 2008. As a Staff Sergeant in March 2009, he joined 2nd Marine Logistics Group as Battalion Wire Chief for Combat Logistics Battalion-2, deploying to Afghanistan in June 2010 for Operation Enduring Freedom 10.2, where he also served as Chief Instructor for Corporals Course 20-10.
In May 2011, Staff Sergeant Gabrielson reported to 4th Marine Logistics Group Communications Company, Greensboro, North Carolina, as Switching Chief and Funeral Honors SNCOIC. Promoted to Gunnery Sergeant, he served as Telecommunications Systems Chief with 7th Communications Battalion, Okinawa, Japan, in April 2014, leading tactical networking and communications detachments in the Pacific.
In May 2017, he joined Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, Miramar, California, as Networking Platoon SNCOIC, later becoming Detachment First Sergeant in June 2018. As a First Sergeant in January 2019, he served with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, then transferred to 1st Battalion, 5th Marines in August 2019 as Company First Sergeant for Company B, WPNS, H&S deploying with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2019 and 2021.
In February 2023, he joined the Advanced Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry West, as Company First Sergeant for the Infantry Unit Leaders Training Company. In December 2023, Sergeant Major Gabrielson was assigned as Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Site Support Stewart where he served until August 2025, being reassigned to his current role as Command Senior Enlisted Leader Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11.
Sergeant Major Gabrielson's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (with gold star), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with two gold stars), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with two gold stars). He graduated with honors from Ashford University on July 4, 2016, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management.
