Sergeant Major Quesada enlisted in the United States Marines Corps and attended boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on August 12, 1998.  Upon completion of Recruit training, he was assigned to Assault Amphibian Schools Battalion, earning the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 1833.  Upon completion of MOS school, he was assigned to Company E, 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion (3d AABn), 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California where he served as Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) Crewman.
On 1 June 1999, Sergeant Major Quesada was promoted to Lance Corporal and, in January of 2000, deployed on a Western Pacific Deployment with AAV platoon, Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Special Operations Capable (SOC).  He was promoted to the rank of Corporal on July 2001 and redeployed with AAV platoon, BLT 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 15th MEU SOC.  While on deployment, the MEU was ordered to the North Arabian Sea in support of (ISO) Operation ENDURING FREEDOM as part of Task Force-58.
Sergeant Major Quesada received orders to Assault Amphibian Schools Battalion for assignment as a MOS instructor upon returning from deployment.  He put through eight Basic Assault Amphibian Crewmember classes, two classes of Marine Officers through the Assault Amphibian Officer Course, and one class of Staff Noncommissioned Officer’s through the Assault Amphibian Unit Leaders Course.  On October 2002, Sergeant Major Quesada was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.  Additionally, he was selected to be Platoon Sergeant of the Assault Amphibious Vehicle Repairer Basic Course, where he also obtained the additional MOS of 2141.
In October 2005, Sergeant Major Quesada received orders back to the 3d AABn, deploying as a Section Leader with Company C, Regimental Combat Team-7, I Marine Expeditionary Force ISO Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 05-07.   On May 2006, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. 
In August of 2007, Sergeant Major Quesada received orders to Basic Recruiter Course, and upon completion, received the MOS 8411, Canvassing Recruiter.  In December 2007, he reported to Recruiting Substation (RSS) El Paso East, Recruiting Station Albuquerque, New Mexico.  In August 2009, he moved to RSS El Paso West and assumed duties as Staff Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge.
In October 2010, Sergeant Major Quesada received orders back to 3d AABn where he served as 1st Section Leader, Company B.  He was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in August 2011.  He completed a deployment to Okinawa ISO the Unit Deployment Program.  In March 2012, he served as Platoon Sergeant, AAV Platoon, BLT 2d Battalion, 4th Marines, 31st MEU.  In April 2016, Gunnery Sergeant Quesada was assigned to 5th Marine Regiment as the Assistant Operations Chief ISO Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Central Command.
Sergeant Major Quesada was frocked to First Sergeant in January 2017 and reported to 2d Battalion, 4th Marines for duty as Company First Sergeant, Company E, deploying to Australia ISO the Marine Rotational Forces- Darwin.  Upon the battalion’s return, he received orders to Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations West, where he served as Company First Sergeant for Company B and later Company A.  Sergeant Major Quesada was promoted to his current rank in November 2021 and received orders to HMLA-267, where he currently serves as Squadron Sergeant Major.
Sergeant Major Quesada's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
