Sergeant Major HernandezQuezada was born on 24 December 1989 in Cabrera, Dominican Republic. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, South Carolina, on 4 June 2008. Upon completing recruit training, Marine Combat Training, and the Motor Transportation Operator Course, he received orders to the 7th Communication Battalion, Okinawa, Japan, where he served as a Motor Transportation Operator.
In July 2010, Sergeant Major HernandezQuezada reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 7 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. During this assignment, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In February 2013, Sergeant Major HernandezQuezada reported to the 5th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as the Motor Transportation Platoon Sergeant. In August 2014, he was assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Central Command, operating out of Al Jaber, Kuwait, and Al Asad, Iraq. While deployed, he served as the Command Element Motor Transport Chief and Unit Movement Coordination Center Chief, later assuming duties as the Task Force Al Asad Motor Transport Chief for the remainder of the deployment.
In July 2015, Sergeant Major HernandezQuezada reported to Drill Instructor School, Class 4-15, at MCRD San Diego. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Company A, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, where he served as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Chief Drill Instructor. After completing six training cycles, he transferred to Drill Instructor School, where he served as a Squad Instructor.
In April 2019, Sergeant Major HernandezQuezada reported to 1st Transportation Support Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California. Shortly after reporting, he was assigned as the Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge during the battalion's rotation to support operations along the U.S. - Mexico border. Upon returning, he assumed duties as the Company First Sergeant for Headquarters and Service Company.
In August 2021, he reported to the 4th Marine Regiment, Okinawa, Japan, serving as the Motor Transportation Chief. In December 2021, he was selected for promotion to First Sergeant and was assigned to Engineer Company A, 9th Engineer Support Battalion. In July 2023, he received orders to Headquarters Battalion, where he served as the Unit Senior Enlisted Leader for Communications and Headquarters Company.
In November 2024, he was selected for promotion to Sergeant Major, and in August 2025, he was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 to serve as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars in lieu of a fourth award, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars in lieu of a third award.
