Lieutenant Colonel Andrew V. Lundskow

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Lundskow was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in November 2007 following graduation from Clemson University and Officers Candidate School. Second Lieutenant Lundskow subsequently reported to Quantico, Virginia for officer training at The Basic School. In October 2008, he commenced flight training at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. First Lieutenant Lundskow was designated a Naval Aviator on 11 March 2011 and reported to Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California for follow-on training in the AH-1W.

In April 2011, he reported to Marine Aircraft Group 39 (MAG-39), Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton and was subsequently assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 (HMLA-169). He deployed twice on the 31st MEU with the H-1 detachment to HMM-262 (REIN) in 2013 and VMM-265 (REIN) in 2016.

Captain Lundskow was board selected and subsequently reported to Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) in July 2018.  At HMX-1, he served as an operations flight officer, White House Liaison Officer, and flew the VH-3D and VH-60N as a Marine One Pilot in Command in support of POTUS, VPOTUS, and other VIPs as assigned by the White House Military Office worldwide.

In July 2022, Major Lundskow returned to HMLA-169, where he worked as the Aircraft Maintenance Officer and deployed on Unit Deployment Program 23.2 to Okinawa, Japan. Following the deployment in November 2023, Lieutenant Colonel Lundskow reported to MAG-39 as the Group Operations Officer. In August 2024, he transferred to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma to serve as the Station Director of Operations, before returning to MAG-39 and assuming command of HMLA-169 in January 2026.

Lieutenant Colonel Lundskow has logged over 2,500 total flight hours and holds every qualification and designation in the AH-1Z, VH-3D, and VH-60N. He is a distance education graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in education.

Lieutenant Colonel Lundskow’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with one gold star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and is authorized to wear the Presidential Service Badge.
