  Executive Officer, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 

Major Kerry was born in Canton, OH on 25 August 1989.

He graduated from Belmont University in December 2011 and was commissioned through the Platoon Leaders Course in February of 2012. He completed the Naval Aviation Maintenance Indoctrination Course, Milton, FL and was designated as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in September 2013.

Major Kerry's operational experience includes Unit Deployment Program 16.1 supporting Cobra Gold 2016 and Balikatan 2016

Major Kerry's squadron assignments include tours with MALS-29 (2013-2014), HMLA-167 (2014-2016), VMFAT-101 (2019), and MALS-16 (2019-Present).

His staff assignments have included: 

Aviation Life Support Systems Officer (MALS-29), Material Control Officer (HMLA-167), Academics Instructor (OCS), First Term Alignment Plan Officer / Subsequent Term Alignment Plan Officer / Transfer of Education Benefits Coordinator (MMEA-1), Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer / Material Control Officer (VMFAT-101), Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer (MALS-16), Operations Officer (MALS-16), and Executive Officer (MALS-16).

Major Kerry has completed the Expeditionary Warfare School aboard MCB Quantico, Command and Staff College Distance Education Program, and holds a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Liberty University. He has also completed the JOPES Support Personnel Course, Maritime Preposition Force Staff Planner’s Course, Marine Aviation Supply Short Course, Advanced Aircraft Maintenance Officer Course, and holds the additional MOS of 6607 Aviation Logistician and 6077 Weapons and Tactics Instructor.

Major Kerry’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
