Major Cameron A. Hubbard

Major Cameron A. Hubbard was born in Springfield, Missouri. He reported to Officer Candidates School (OCS) Platoon Leaders Course in June 2010. Upon successfully graduating OCS in August 2010, he returned to Missouri State University to complete his senior year of college. In May 2011, he successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in the Spanish language.

Major Hubbard commissioned in June 2011, and subsequently reported to the The Basic School the following December. He graduated The Basic School with Bravo 2-12 in July 2012.

Upon graduating from The Basic School, Major Hubbard reported to Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Florida for the Aviation Maintenance Officers Course. He graduated in September 2012 and was designated a 6002 MOS, Aviation Maintenance Officer.

In September 2012, Major Hubbard reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 26 at Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina and performed the duties of Officer in Charge of both Airframes and Power Plants Divisions and for a period, the Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer.

In September 2013, Major Hubbard received orders to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263 (REIN). There he was designated as the squadron’s Maintenance Material Control Officer (MMCO). In February 2014, he deployed with VMM-263 (REIN) as part of the 22D Marine Expeditionary Unit. Upon return CONUS, Major Hubbard was designated the Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Officer (AAMO) of VMM-263.

In June 2015, Major Hubbard reported to VMM-364 at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California and assisted with the squadron’s transition from the CH-46E to the MV-22B. He was designated the AAMO and assisted in the squadron completing all transition milestones. In October 2015, he was promoted to the rank of captain. He deployed with the unit in March 2017 as the AAMO and the MMCO as part of the Special Marine Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Combatant Command in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.  

In November 2017, Major Hubbard reported to Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Camp Pendleton and was designated as the Assistant Officer in Charge, acting in an executive officer’s capacity. In December 2018, he completed his Master of Professional Studies with a focus in Applied Communication from Missouri State University.

In July 2019, Major Hubbard reported to resident Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia.

Upon graduation he received orders to MALS-13 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Yuma, Arizona. Upon his arrival in May 2020, he assumed the duties of the squadron’s Operation Officer.

In February 2021, Major Hubbard was promoted to his current rank, and in April 2021, he assumed the duties of his current billet as the MALS-13 Executive Officer. 

Major Hubbard’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (second award) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (third award).
