Leyna Alcantara, a 3-year-old with the Exceptional Family Member Program, smiles as she turns the page while reading to Squirt, a Pomeranian with Independent Therapy Dogs, Inc., at the library aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Feb. 13. Dogs of all sizes arrived at the library to allow children the chance to read to someone, or in this case, something that will not judge them for any mistakes they may make.
