Cpl. Mark Willoughby Jr., an air command and control electronics operator with Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 38 and an Artesia, Calif. native shovels the first load of earth during a groundbreaking ceremony for the first obstacle course aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif. Aug. 22. Willoughby’s inquisition about the lack of a station obstacle course led the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing commanding general to take action, signifying the importance of the ideas of Marines from any rank.
