Cpl. Dustin Bulac, an automotive maintenance technician with Combat Logistics Company 11 and a Waipahu, Hawaii native, switches sockets while repairing a portion of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle's transmission in the company's maintenance bay aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Aug. 13. Bulac and his Marines fix vehicles like this daily, but fixing them isn't what Bulac wants - he wants to understand everything about the vehicle, even driving it.
