Pilots with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 land an MV-22B Osprey on the flight deck during field carrier landing practices aboard the USS Essex, May 15. Pilots and crews train before missions like this to work in unison landing the aircraft aboard the vessel without damaging the Essex’s superstructure.
