From left, Maj. Gen. Kevin M. Iiams, incoming commanding general of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, and Maj. Gen. Mark R. Wise took command of 3rd MAW July 22, 2016. Iiams previously served as the commanding general of Marine Corps Training and Education Command. Iiams addressed his new Marines saying, "We’re going to focus on the things that have always made this MAW great. Let’s fix, fly, fight, blend a little bit of fun into that, and then stick to the things that have always made this MAW great, operational excellence in all that we do."
