MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. – Sgt. Maj. John Paul Doring, left, sergeant major of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 362, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, salutes Lt. Col. Mathew T. McSorley, commanding officer of VMM-362, before assuming the duties and responsibilities as VMM-362’s sergeant major during the activation ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Aug. 17. Previously, Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 362 operated as a CH-53D Sea Stallion unit from April 30, 1952 to Nov. 30, 2012.
