U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 166 and Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 361, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), fall into formation on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Feb. 27. More than 5,000 Marines and Sailors of the Essex Amphibious Readiness Group, and the embarked 13th MEU, conducted maritime security operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
