Students from Maie Ellis Elementary pose for a photo with a U.S. Marine after running in support of improving afterschool programs in Fallbook, Calif., Sept. 27. Marines paced the students around the track and showed them the importance of maintaining a "never quit" attitude. More than 500 students ran laps as part of the school's fundraising efforts toward reading programs and after-school activities.
