A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 462, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, flies to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) in the Pacific Ocean, Feb. 13, 2024. HMH-462 transported passengers from Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, to the Abraham Lincoln, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, and provided assault support for routine operations in the Third Fleet area of responsibility. Landing on an aircraft carrier was a rare opportunity for the Marines of HMH-462, as CH-53E Super Stallions deploy at sea aboard amphibious assault ships. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
