An employee from Starlight washes the wing of an F/A-18D belonging to Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 225, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, July 19 at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. Starlight is a contracted company that helps the more than one dozen fixed- and rotary-wing squadrons at MCAS Miramar. The work done by the civilian personnel frees Marines to focus on identifying corrosion on the aircraft.
