Lance Cpl. Scott A. Ward (right), 25 year-old Seattle native and forward observer with Company P, Security Battalion, Marine Wing Support Group 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, reassembles the M-249 Squad Automatic Weapon as fast as he can while timed by GySgt. Robert S. Oak, 33-year-old La Crescenta, Calif., native and staff noncommissioned officer-in-charge for Range Operations and Training, Security Battalion, MWSG-37, 3rd MAW during a marksmanship competition held at Al Asad, Iraq, Jan. 25. The weeklong competition hosted by Security Battalion covered every weapons system from the M-9 pistol to the .50 Cal machinegun.
