Previously used by the former Iraqi military, the air traffic control tower on Al Asad, Iraq, is now used by the Marines of Marine Air Control Squadron 1, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. Using tactical and expeditionary equipment only, MACS-1, along with Marines from MACS 2, 6, 24 and 25, are closing on 200,000 operations for the Al Anbar Province.
