Marines from Battery G, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines man a vehicle checkpoint at the entrance to the inner cordon of the polling site at An Nukhayb, Iraq Jan. 30. During the elections, "Golf" Battery assisted the Iraqi police and national guard with outer security and transportation for the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq workers. An Nukhayb is a small Bedouin town located over 200 miles southwest of Baghdad and showed that under the new democratic Iraq every Iraqi will have a voice regardless of location.
