An Iraqi voter casts his ballot as an Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq worker looks on. Workers from the Al Asad Air Base were shuttled to a secure voting location where they could cast their vote without intimidation from insurgents. Smiles, cheers and ?thumbs up? signs were very common at this location after the ballots were dropped into the sealed boxes. The Marines and Soldiers stationed here increased security in a successful effort to thwart any insurgent attack on the location.
