Lance Cpl. Lyndsi Albalopez and Lance Cpl. German Albalopez are reunited for the first time at Al Asad, Iraq, Sept. 6 since he left for his deployment aboard the USS Enterprise four months ago. Lyndsi and German were ecstatic to see one another after receiving word that German's squadron would be conducting land-based operations in Iraq for two months while his wife's squadron would be arriving at the same time for a seven-month deployment. German is a fixed-wing aircraft powerplants mechanic with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251, Carrier Air Wing One, Carrier Strike Group Twelve. Lyndsi is an automotive organizational mechanic with Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Marine Wing Support Squadron 37 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). German and Lyndsi are natives of Chicago.
