Cpl. Matthew C. Shamrell prepares to throw the harnesses and straps out the back of a CH-53E Super Stallion hovering over the disabled UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter during the recovery effort in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq, Sept. 27. Shamrell is a crew chief with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). He is a 23-year-old native of Vancouver, Wash.
