Staff Sgt. John A. Flores cuts out a stencil on a helicopter blade he is converting into a plaque for another Marine, Aug. 18, at Al Asad, Iraq. Flores, a career retention specialist with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), paints used rear-rotor helicopter blades and transforms them into Marine Corps memorabilia. Flores is a San Antonio native.
