Sgt. James L. Walters conducts a Chemical Agent Monitor test on Pfc. Alan R. Olson, a simulated chemical casualty, at Al Asad, Iraq, April 25. The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Marines with Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, have taken traditional Nuclear, Biological and Chemical doctrine and modified it for use in a nontraditional NBC threat environment. Walters is the CBRN staff noncommissioned officer-in-charge, from Irmo, S.C. Olson is an aviation information systems specialist and Sebastian, Fla., native.
