Maintenance Marines with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 242 pass through an aircraft hanger during a foreign object damage walk down at Al Asad, Iraq, Oct. 7. The dozens of maintenance Marines with VMFA(AW)-242, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), are responsible for keeping the high-performance jets in tip-top shape and ready to carry out the mission.
