Corporal Suresh Mathen, a West Hempstead, N.Y., native, runs a lap around the formation to rally motivation in his fellow Marines May 13 during the Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, forced march on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The training noncommissioned officer with Nuclear, Biological and Chemical section, MAG-11, was the aircraft group's "Marine of the Month" in January, meritoriously promoted to corporal in March, and is receiving his second chance to go through Officer Candidates School in June.
