Chief Warrant Officer Phillip Brashear, son of Master Chief Carl Brashear, who was portrayed in the film "Men of Honor", gives a speech to military members during a Patriot's Day observance at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation building at Al Asad, Iraq, Sept. 11. Brashear, 44, is a Blackhawk helicopter pilot, Virginia Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), According to Brashear, remembering the events of Sept. 11, 2001 is important because it is a constant reminder for why military members are in Iraq and putting up the good fight in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his speech, video footage of the terrorist attacks was played for those to view. Brashear is a native of Sandston, Va.
