1st Lt. Brandon E. Cooley keeps his mother's memory alive by running a half marathon June 3, at Al Asad, Iraq. Cooley, heavy equipment officer-in-charge, Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, Marine Wing Support Group 37 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, arranged the marathon in support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's Race for the Cure. Cooley lost his mother to breast cancer in 2001.
