To wear a Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist badge, sailors must pass a comprehensive 150-question exam and a Marine physical fitness test. Six Navy air traffic controllers with Marine Air Control Squadron 1 earned their FMF badges during their deployment with the squadron. The sailors completed the course, typically a self-paced program that must be in completed in 18 months, in four months. Approximately 15 percent of the more than 2,500 Navy controllers earn an FMF badge. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Fredrick J. Coleman) (Released)
