A Marine with the 1st Marine Division (Forward)'s Personal Security Detachment watches as a UH-1Y Huey from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Fwd), lands to deliver water to the PSD and six geologists Aug. 16 in support of Operation Centrum. The team was awaiting extraction by Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, 3rd MAW (Fwd) when the Huey pilots offered to drop extra water to the group. HMH-361 inserted the group about 12 hours earlier that day so the team could search for rare earth elements.
