Brig. Gen. Andrew W. O'Donnell Jr., commanding general of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), straps into the cockpit of a CH-47 "Chinook" here June 8 while Sgt. Maj. Anthony Spadaro, the 3rd MAW (FWD) sergeant major, learns about the M134 mini gun mounted in the window of the aircraft. The leaders flew with the British aboard the Chinook to learn the aircraft's capabilities. O'Donnell piloted the aircraft during the flight and Spadaro fired several hundred rounds using the weapon's 2,000 and 4,000 rounds-per-minute settings.
