Reconnaissance Marines from 1st Reconnaissance Battalion soar just feet above the Pacific Ocean at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Nov. 1. Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 practiced special patrol insertion/extraction techniques with the reconnaissance Marines to prepare them for amphibious reconnaissance and complete required training for the pilots.
