The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) commanding general stands with the senior leadership of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 362, 3rd MAW (Fwd), and the five Marines who received their combat aircrew wings at the flightline aboard Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, Dec. 6. The combat aircrew wings must be earned while the unit is deployed. It is a prestigious distinguishing device as it is symbolic of Marine aviation's deep bond and commitment to supporting the infantry and coalition forces in Afghanistan.
