Sgt. Derrick Thompson, a parachute rigger with 1st Radio Battalion, uses streamers to measure wind speed and altitude before signaling the parachutists to prepare to jump over Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Feb. 3. Eight Marines from 1st Radio Bn. participated in the training exercise.
