The newly-built courtroom features a jurors’ box, judge’s bench, witness stands and specific work spaces for the defense and prosecution. 'When you have a courtroom, it is easier because you know the needs of the court,' explained Lt. Michael Wooten, a judge advocate with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 3, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). 'Courtrooms are set up the way they are particularly for security purposes and you want to have a certain grandeur to a court proceeding so that all participants understand this is a solemn occasion.'
