Six Navy air traffic controllers with Marine Wing Control Squadron 1 recently earned their Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist badges, becoming part of an elite group of controllers. Approximately 15 percent of the more than 2,500 Navy ATCs have FMF badges. Navy controllers rarely find themselves attached to Marine units as often as corpsmen and supply technicians, according to Master Chief Petty Officer Jeff Brown, who manages personnel assignments for all Navy controllers at Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tenn.
